Walnut & Mother of Pearl Octagonal Side Table — Khatam Geometric Mosaic with Moorish Arch Apron

A large octagonal side table with its top entirely covered in a Khatam geometric micro-mosaic of wood, bone and mother of pearl.

Thousands of tiny pieces assemble into an intricate lattice of interlocking stars and diamonds in warm amber, honey and gold tones, organised in concentric octagonal registers. The base carries eight open Moorish arch panels separated by camel bone stringing, above pierced geometric lattice screens of extraordinary intricacy. A table of genuine museum quality.
