A wide octagonal jewellery box in hand-inlaid mother of pearl and exotic wood marquetry across every exterior surface.

The domed lid presents a four-lobed floral cartouche in ivory shell outlined in dark wood, centred on a sunburst rosette amid iridescent fragments in gold, champagne and silver. The faceted sides carry a dense all-over composition of rectangular shell pieces and dark wood accents, the interior lined in deep burgundy velvet with a brass lift-tab. A piece that functions as display object and practical vessel alike.
