Mother of Pearl & Wood Lidded Storage Chest — Khatam Diamond Mosaic with Suede Interior

A lidded storage chest of considerable decorative richness, its exterior entirely covered in a Khatam geometric micro-mosaic of mother of pearl and wood — thousands of tiny diamond fragments assembled in warm amber, honey, ivory, and ebony tones into a bold lattice pattern that wraps the full circumference of the chest. The lid carries its own micro-mosaic composition in a finer, denser register, framed by a dark wood border that also defines the chest's edges and corners. Four small brass feet lift the piece from the surface with quiet elegance. Inside, the chest is lined in warm caramel suede with gold button tufting — a finish that turns every opening into a small ceremony.
