Mother of Pearl & Wood Hexagonal Side Table — Six-Pointed Star Mosaic

A hexagonal side table with a bold six-pointed star in bone and ebonised wood set against irregular mother of pearl mosaic fragments.

The iridescent champagne and gold tones catch the light in the manner of an ancient inlaid floor, concentric borders of bone striping and wood chevron framing the composition in layered depth. The apron carries a mother of pearl mosaic panel on each face framed by amber wood stringing, above pointed Moorish arch cut-outs. A table of genuine antique character, every material chosen for how it speaks to its neighbour.
