Mother of Pearl & Wood Hexagonal Side Table — Six-Pointed Star Mosaic

A hexagonal side table of striking geometric authority, its top surface inlaid with a bold six-pointed star in bone and ebonised wood set against a ground of irregular mother of pearl mosaic fragments — their iridescent champagne and gold tones catching the light in the manner of an ancient inlaid floor. Concentric borders of bone striping and wood chevron frame the composition, each layer adding depth and precision to the whole. The apron continues the decorative programme: each face carries a mother of pearl mosaic panel framed by amber wood stringing, above pointed Moorish arch cut-outs that lift the base with quiet elegance.
