Mother of Pearl & Resin Drum Stool — Teal & Ivory Radial Stripe

Handcrafted

A drum stool of pure graphic confidence, its barrel form clad entirely in alternating stripes of teal resin and iridescent mother of pearl — ivory on the sides, the stripes running vertically from base to shoulder, then converging on the circular top in a sunburst radiating from a single central point. The transition from vertical stripe to radial burst is handled without interruption, the pattern folding naturally over the curve of the top as though the entire surface were a single continuous canvas. It is a detail of considerable craft intelligence, and one that rewards the eye from every angle.

The mother of pearl shifts between pure ivory and warm champagne gold as the light moves across it, the iridescent quality of the shell giving the piece a luminosity that flat resin alone could never achieve. The teal is deep and saturated — closer to petrol than sky — providing a ground of real visual weight against which the pale shell reads with maximum contrast. The form itself is clean and self-contained: no legs, no hardware, no interruption to the surface treatment.

Functions equally as a stool or a side table, and is available in alternative resin colour combinations upon request.
