A chest of drawers entirely covered in hand-cut mother of pearl inlay on a deep indigo resin ground.

Four drawers in classic commode format each carry a continuous scrolling vine of leaves and flowers in warm champagne and gold-toned shell, centred on a carved mother of pearl rosette pull. The top continues the inlay in a more geometric register, a central medallion framed by a diamond dot border, the sides carrying the same vine pattern for a fully resolved object from every angle. A piece that defines a bedroom rather than simply furnishing it.
