Mother of Pearl Inlaid Round Coffee Table — Ebony Ground with Floral Arabesque Vine

A coffee table with circular top, drum apron and pedestal base covered entirely in hand-cut mother of pearl on a deep ebony ground.

The composition is a continuous arabesque of scrolling vines bearing daisy-form flowers, the tendrils curling across the black ground with organic fluency. The mother of pearl shifts between pure white, champagne and iridescent gold, the contrast against ebony sharp and luminous. The top carries a central medallion of radiating petals giving way to the same scrolling vine on the apron below.
