An antique mother of pearl inlaid double door with its original architectural surround, entirely covered in hand-cut shell mosaic on a deep ebony ground — one of the most complete examples of antique inlay work to appear on the market.

The six door panels carry a continuous geometric star mosaic of extraordinary density, the ivory shell filling every surface without interruption. The surround repeats the same inlay programme across its full width and height, extending the decorative field into a complete architectural composition. Carved foliate corbels anchor the upper corners; a frieze of pierced and inlaid panels runs across the lintel. Every surface — door faces, stiles, rails, surround pilasters, and cornice — is worked in hand-cut mother of pearl mosaic throughout.
