Mother of Pearl, Camel Bone & Wood Demilune Console Table — Floral Garland Inlay with White Marble Top

A demilune console table of considerable elegance, its ebonised wood frame entirely inlaid with mother of pearl floral sprays and botanical garlands set against a dark ground — sweeping arrangements of chrysanthemums, dahlias, and leaf clusters hanging from the scalloped apron in the manner of a swag, the iridescent shell luminous against the ebony. Camel bone stringing borders define the apron panels and run the full length of each tapered leg, the geometric lines providing a measured counterpoint to the organic abundance of the floral inlay above. The white marble top, with its gently rounded front edge, crowns the piece with cool architectural finality.
