Mother of Pearl, Bone Inlay & Black Resin Octagonal Side Table — Arabesque & Gold Panel

An octagonal side table of exceptional decorative ambition, its top surface inlaid with a bold arabesque composition in black resin and camel bone — sweeping foliate scrolls radiating from a central eight-pointed rosette, framed by concentric borders of mother of pearl in geometric and chevron arrangements. The apron below is no less considered: each of its eight faces carries a gold arabesque panel on a black resin ground, the motifs rendered with the precision of a manuscript illuminator. Moorish arch cut-outs between the legs complete the composition, lending the base an almost architectural lightness beneath the weight of the decorated top.
