Mother of Pearl & Black Resin Geometric Stool — Linear Basketweave

A drum stool of exceptional surface richness, entirely encrusted with irregular fragments of mother of pearl set into a deep black resin ground, their iridescent champagne and gold tones shifting with every change of light. Vertical dividing stripes of solid bone run the full height of the piece at regular intervals, imposing a quiet order upon the organic mosaic beneath and drawing the eye upward to the top surface, where the same fragment inlay radiates outward from a central ebony medallion in a sunburst composition.

The overall effect is at once ancient and contemporary — the texture of a mosaic floor lifted onto a sculptural form, brought into the modern interior with complete ease. A piece that rewards close inspection as much as it commands from across the room.
