Moorish Cloisonné Enamel Pendant Lanterns — Hand-Enamelled Polychrome Globe, Matching Pair

A pair of pendant lanterns hand-enamelled in the cloisonné tradition across a spherical globe body on a brass chain.

Wrought iron bands of scrolling foliate ornament divide the globe into registers filled with floral rosettes, arabesque scrolls and calligraphic script in cobalt blue, teal, coral and sage green against a near-black ground. The globe tapers to a pointed drop finial, iron scroll brackets punctuating its equator, the ceiling rose enamelled to match. Presented as a pair for a double-height entrance hall or dining room.
