Khatam Micro-Mosaic & Hand-Painted Chess Board — Peacock & Floral Border

A folding chess board framed by a hand-painted border of peacocks in full plumage among flowering peonies and hibiscus.

The birds and florals are rendered in cobalt blue, turquoise, crimson and gold against a light ground, the chess grid inlaid in Khatam micro-mosaic alternating dark and amber squares with the patience the tradition demands. The reverse is natural polished wood with matching hand-painted peacock motifs, a brass hinge folding the board flat for storage or display.
