A folding chess board framed by a hand-painted border of emerald green floral medallions and arabesque scrollwork on ivory.

Bold circular motifs in green, cobalt blue and dark ebony anchor each corner, their dot-work and scrolling tendrils rendered with miniaturist precision. The chess grid is inlaid in Khatam micro-mosaic alternating amber and dark squares, the reverse carrying a hand-painted diamond star medallion in matching tones on natural polished wood.
