Khatam Micro-Mosaic & Hand-Painted Chess Board — Cobalt Blue Medallion & Gold Arabesque Border

A folding chess board of bold chromatic presence, its playing surface framed by a hand-painted border of sweeping decorative ambition — large floral medallions in crimson and gold float against a cobalt blue ground of dense arabesques and scrolling botanical forms, the composition covering the full border with a richness more reminiscent of a palace ceiling than a game board. The chess grid is inlaid in Khatam micro-mosaic, alternating dark and amber squares assembled from thousands of tiny geometric fragments with complete precision. The reverse of each panel carries a hand-painted star medallion in matching cobalt, crimson, and gold on natural polished wood, the scalloped inner edge adding an architectural detail to the interior face.
