A folding 2-in-1 game board of exceptional craft completeness, one face presenting a chess grid and the other a backgammon layout — both entirely covered in Khatam micro-mosaic of the highest order. The chess side carries alternating squares of dense geometric star inlay framed by a bold chevron and lattice border in amber, ivory, and ebony. The backgammon side reveals a spectacular interior: the triangular playing points inlaid in alternating Khatam patterns, centred on a large geometric star medallion of extraordinary complexity — a hexagonal form assembled from thousands of tiny fragments in amber, burgundy, ivory, and dark tones, the surrounding field of micro-mosaic as dense and precise as any surface in the collection.

A board that contains two complete games and two complete decorative programmes — its craft as serious on the playing side as on display.
