Handknotted Wool Rug — Mauve Medallion with Ivory Field & Polychrome Floral Border

A finely knotted wool rug centred on a large hexagonal medallion in soft dusty mauve, set within a cream field of stylised cypress trees.

The medallion is layered concentrically, each ring introducing a new motif or colour until it resolves at its heart in a small diamond of amber and crimson. Multiple guard stripes surround the field, the outermost running a continuous repeat of cross-star forms in rust, olive and slate against dark chocolate. A rug of quiet classical sophistication, functioning as an accent piece beneath a coffee table or at the foot of a bed.
