Handknotted Wool Rug — Dual Medallion Field with Slate Blue Floral Border

A finely knotted rug with two stacked registers — a cream panel with a pale octagonal medallion, and an olive panel with a bold star medallion.

A band of scrolling ivory arabesque provides transition between the two, the overall effect a field in quiet dialogue with itself. The border is rich and layered — an inner guard of stylised tulip forms, a broad band of floral palmettes in dusty blue, rust and sage, and a final narrow edging containing the whole. Compact enough for a study or hallway, this rug functions as a collector's piece.
