Twin arch forms rise through the upper field, their interiors filled with a lattice of diamonds, crosses and hooked lozenges from a weaving tradition passed down without ever being written. The lower half shifts to zigzag bands and checkerboard fills, a narrow guard and long knotted fringe marking a piece made entirely by hand. The ivory ground shifts between cream and pale sand through the day, anchoring a room rather than decorating it.
