A ceramic vessel on a deep emerald ground, hand-painted with scrolling white arabesques, daisy forms and saffron accents.

The twin handles extend as flat angular planes, fully painted so the decoration continues across them as though the piece were a single canvas. White scrollwork divides the emerald field into cartouches, each filled with its own petals, dots and leaf forms, a crimson accent at the centre anchoring the composition. Joyful in colour and precise in execution, entirely distinctive in form.
