A double door hand-inlaid with camel bone set into black resin, a continuous garden of vine, leaf and lotus across both panels.

Peacocks, songbirds and exotic fowl perch among the branches, a scalloped Moorish arch framing the upper field while the lower register carries a garden scene of exceptional delicacy. The bone-on-black-resin technique produces a graphic intensity unlike any other inlay tradition, thousands of fragments composing a single unified image. The iron ring handle at the centre is the only note of restraint in an otherwise total decorative ambition.
