Embossed Metal & Wood Double Door — Mughal Arch Crown with Repousse Floral Panels

A pair of monumental double doors of commanding architectural presence, their wood frames entirely sheathed in embossed metal worked into a grid of rectangular panels — each one filled with a dense repousse composition of floral urns, botanical sprays, and arabesque scrollwork, no two panels identical in their decorative programme. The crown of each door rises in a scalloped Mughal arch, its shaped outline framed by a rope-twist border that also defines the outer edge of the full door surround. Original brass ring pull handles with a connecting chain sit at mid-height, their patinated surface a testament to the age and use of these doors. The background of each panel is covered in a fine all-over geometric micro-pattern that fills every space between the repousse motifs with restless, intricate detail.
