Camel Bone & Resin Hexagonal Side Table — Emerald Ground with Floral Vine & Arched Base

A hexagonal side table of refined decorative character, its top and six panelled sides entirely inlaid with hand-cut camel bone on a deep emerald resin ground — the warm ivory tone of the bone set against the richness of the green in a contrast that is simultaneously bold and elegant. The hexagonal top is organised into a central octagonal medallion of geometric star and foliate ornament, framed by a border of alternating dash and dot inlay that runs the full perimeter — a composition of classical discipline that gives the top surface a completeness and balance entirely appropriate to a piece of this quality.

The six side panels each carry a continuous flowering vine — stems rising from arched bases, branching into leaves and full daisy blooms that fill the emerald ground with botanical generosity. Between each panel, the base is cut into pointed horseshoe arch forms, the negative space between the legs adding lightness and architectural interest to the lower half of the piece.
