Bronze Figural Sculpture — Two Putti with Urn & Shell Basin

A bronze sculpture of classical European character, its composition centred on two youthful figures in animated dialogue — one standing atop a rocky outcrop, tilting an urn from which water once flowed, the other seated below, arms extended to receive the stream in a broad shell basin. The modelling is accomplished and confident, the figures rendered with naturalistic attention to anatomy and drapery, their expressions caught in a moment of playful interaction that animates the whole composition. A warm brown patina deepens to verdigris green in the recesses of the drapery and base, the colour variation evidence of genuine bronze casting. The naturalistic rock formation base rises from a smooth oval plinth, completing the composition with the same attention given to the figures above.
