Antique Hand-Carved & Painted Double Door — Gold Calligraphy Medallions & Polychrome Rosette Panels

A magnificent antique double door, hand-carved in deep relief and painted in gold, crimson, forest green and turquoise on an ebonised ground.

Six panels carry a hieratic programme: twin calligraphy medallions framed by dense arabesque scrollwork above, multi-petal rosette wheels within acanthus surrounds below. The gilded relief catches light from every angle, and beaded moulding frames each panel with architectural precision. A door that has graced a place of significance, its presence immediate and undeniable.
