Antique Hand-Carved & Painted Double Door — Calligraphy Frieze with Floral & Rosette Panels

A monumental antique double door, hand-carved from solid dark wood with six painted panels beneath a calligraphy frieze.

The upper register bears an open-lattice band of Arabic inscription, crowned by carved finials and scrollwork. Six panels rise in three tiers — acanthus cartouches, calligraphy medallions, and rosette medallions — framed by beaded moulding, with rope-twist pilasters flanking the composition. The darkened patina speaks to genuine age and the authority of a palace entrance.
